What is an Audiologist?

As audiologists, we are health-care professionals with a Masters or Doctoral Degrees with special training in the prevention, identification, assessment, and treatment of hearing disorders. We are certified by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and/or are Board Certified by the American Board of Audiology. Patients of all ages can have tests to evaluate, diagnose, treat and manage hearing loss, tinnitus and balance disorders. We can recommend and fit hearing aids. We can also help to prevent hearing loss by providing and fitting hearing protective devices.

Sveinar Y. Larsen, M.A., CCC-A, Board Certified in Audiology

Mr. Larsen is originally from Minneapolis, MN and received his Master's degree in Audiology in 1986 from the University of Minnesota. He provides services in hearing testing, balance assessment and hearing aid evaluations. Mr. Larsen is a founding board member and a past president of the Minnesota Academy of Audiology. Prior to joining The Hearing Clinic in 1989, he was an audiologist at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. Mr. Larsen sees patients in St. Cloud and Staples.

Jessica L. Landucci, M.S., CCC-A, Board Certified in Audiology

Ms. Landucci, originally from Lake Elmo, MN, received her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 2001. She provides hearing testing services, electrophysiological testing, balance testing, and hearing aid evaluations. Ms. Landucci joined The Hearing Clinic in 2001 and sees patients in St. Cloud and Alexandria.

Stacey L. Johnson, M.A. CCC-A, Board Certified in Audiology

Ms. Johnson received her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of South Dakota in 2003. She provides hearing testing, balance assessment, central auditory processing evaluations and hearing aid evaluations. Ms. Johnson joined The Hearing Clinic in 2003 and sees patients in our St. Cloud and Alexandria clinics. She is originally from Morris, MN.

Nancy J. Pauley, M.S., CCC-A

Ms. Pauley, originally from St. Cloud, MN, received her Master’s degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in 1993. She provides hearing testing and hearing aid evaluations, as well as manages the Progressive Tinnitus Management program. Prior to joining The Hearing Clinic in 2003, Ms. Pauley worked in a variety of clinical settings around the country. She sees patients in our St. Cloud and Paynesville offices.

Brooke M. Steckelberg, Au.D., CCC-A, Board Certified in Audiology

Ms. Steckelberg received her Doctorate of Audiology in 2007 from Central Michigan University. She provides services in hearing testing, balance assessment, and hearing aid evaluations. Dr. Steckelberg joined The Hearing Clinic in 2007. She is originally from St. Cloud, MN and sees patients in St. Cloud and Sauk Centre.

Alexandra R. Borders, Au.D., CCC-A

Ms. Borders, originally from Fairview Park, OH, received her Doctorate of Audiology in 2007 from Central Michigan University. She provides services in hearing testing, electrophysiological testing and hearing aid evaluations. Ms. Borders joined The Hearing Clinic in 2007. She sees patients in our St. Cloud and Little Falls locations.
